Project Overview
Singapore has set an ambitious target of achieving at least 2 gigawatt-peak (GWp) of installed solar capacity by 2030, enough to meet the annual electricity needs of approximately 350,000 households. The SolarNova programme, jointly led by the Housing & Development Board (HDB) and the Energy Market Authority (EMA), plays a key role in this national effort by aggregating solar demand across government agencies and accelerating the adoption of solar PV systems on public sector buildings.
As part of this nationwide initiative, Vector Green was appointed as a trusted delivery partner for multiple SolarNova projects, supporting HDB’s goal of contributing 540 MWp of solar PV capacity by 2030. Our scope covered the delivery of solar PV systems across several phases, including SolarNova 4 (15 HDB blocks), SolarNova 5 (19 HDB blocks), SolarNova 7 (25 HDB blocks across three phases), and SolarNova 8 (97 HDB blocks). Together, these projects represent a significant step forward in expanding renewable energy adoption across Singapore’s public housing estates.
Vector Green was responsible for the end-to-end implementation of these projects, from detailed system design and simulation to regulatory submissions and approvals. Our team carried out the mechanical and electrical installation of the solar PV systems and completed comprehensive testing and commissioning to ensure safe, reliable, and long-term system performance. Through disciplined project execution and close coordination with stakeholders, these installations contribute incrementally yet meaningfully to Singapore’s national solar deployment goals.
