Goals for Good 2026: Why we're bringing businesses together through sport

At Vector Green, sustainability has always meant more than helping businesses optimise energy, reduce carbon emissions, and accelerate their transition towards a greener future. We believe that creating a sustainable world also means building stronger, more inclusive communities where businesses can contribute beyond commercial success. That belief is at the heart of everything we do, and it is why we created Goals for Good 2026.

As a conferred Champion of Good 2025 by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), we recognise that businesses have an important role to play in creating positive change. Corporate purpose is no longer defined solely by what an organisation does, but by the positive impact it creates for its employees, customers, communities, and society. Goals for Good is a reflection of this belief—bringing businesses together through sport to foster collaboration, strengthen communities, and create meaningful social impact beyond the workplace.

Inspired by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong's vision of a "We-First" society, Goals for Good is held in support of the 10th anniversary of the Company of Good movement, an initiative by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) that encourages businesses to embed purpose into the way they operate. As an organisation committed to advancing this vision, we wanted to create an initiative that transforms collaboration into collective action—where businesses can strengthen relationships while giving back to the communities they serve.

This commitment also reflects our broader approach to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). We believe meaningful inclusion extends beyond the workplace and into the communities around us. Through Goals for Good, we hope to create opportunities for organisations of all sizes and industries to come together, fostering teamwork, belonging, and shared responsibility while supporting beneficiaries dedicated to inclusion, mental well-being, and equal opportunities.

More than a football tournament, Goals for Good is a platform that demonstrates how businesses can unite beyond commercial interests to create lasting impact. Every participating organisation contributes towards supporting SportCares, Samaritans of Singapore (SOS), and Special Olympics Singapore—three organisations that are making a meaningful difference through sport, mental health support, and opportunities for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Together, we hope to help advance programmes that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create a more inclusive Singapore.

We also see Goals for Good as an opportunity for businesses to engage employees in a meaningful way. When colleagues come together outside the workplace to support a shared cause, they build stronger relationships, foster a greater sense of belonging, and reinforce a culture where purpose is lived, not just stated. In doing so, organisations can strengthen employee engagement while demonstrating that business success and social impact can go hand in hand.

While much of our work focuses on environmental sustainability through renewable energy, smart technologies, and carbon management, we recognise that sustainability also includes people.
